cagayan de oro Gamma Kappa Phi ALUMNI COUNCIL

Gamma Kappa Phi Fraternity & Sorority

This is the website of the Cagayan de Oro ΓΚΦ Alumni Council, a national affiliate of the Gamma Kappa Phi Alumni Society, an advocate of the ‘One Gamma Kappa Phi’ principle to embody brotherhood in the mainstream of divergence that are ambiguous on certain issues and divisions caused by different mindsets and personal values, which are seemingly irreconcilable among members and proponents of the advocacy. Established on May 15, 1974, the Cagayan de Oro ΓΚΦ Alumni Council is a sovereign and independent collaboration of the Fraternity and Sorority under the Gamma Kappa Phi Alumni Society.

Gamma Kappa Phi Alumni Society is distinctive from other factions that use Gamma Kappa Phi with a combined added Greek letter and a founding number written on its title. Whereas it is exclusively, ΓΚΦ Alumni Society carries only the 3 Greek letters appellation, namely ‘Gamma Kappa Phi’, in conformity with its founding name. Moreover, it has a distinguishing design, graphics & geometry of its official emblem, seal, or logo without the inappropriate display of ‘Kappans’. Because the word Kappan is a moniker for addressing a member of any organization bearing the Greek letter ‘Kappa’, like Gamma Kappa Phi. However, this is an obvious label to be included in an official emblem, similar to the controversial Trademark of the so-called International Council by another aggregation. Likewise, endorsing a trademark logo registration to a non-profit organization like Gamma Kappa Phi is a blatant laughingstock, since the objective of ‘brotherhood’ has been discarded by its meaning of bearing a trademark identity, which emulates trade or sells goods. Otherwise, Gamma Kappa Phi Alumni Society denounces this spurious preference by other assemblies to discredit in designating the name of the Fraternity and Sorority.
