Legendary organizers & pioneers
Gamma Kappa Phi, as a whole organization, was not immune to specific issues in its history and organizational concerns that adversely affected its ability to achieve its objectives. The Brotherhood, Service, and Honor tenets are in the “mainstream” way of thinking among members. Gamma Kappa Phi cannot exist in harmony as a united organization when its members are divided on specific issues, and the division stems from mindsets and personal values that seem irreconcilable among members.
Nevertheless, there is no better way to withstand this divergence than to promote camaraderie and social connection, thereby preserving the organization’s meaning. Legendary organizers and pioneers of Cagayan de Oro were born as a Gamma Kappa Phi to maintain a glimpse of the intimacy enjoyed by their past generation because we are united as sovereign members and advocates for a ‘One Gamma Kappa Phi Principle’ from what we have recognized since the beginning of our existence.

The achievers
In 1977, Cagayan de Oro College (COC) was established as an Interim Chapter, helping prevent the end of Gamma Kappa Phi’s existence at the Cagayan de Oro School Campus. Definitely, in 1979, it was formally established as an organizational chapter. This was credited to the organizers, who worked painstakingly to re-establish the fraternity’s presence at Xavier University in 1976. Their accomplishment was a breakthrough in the revival and expansion of the present generation’s so-called EPSILON, a chapter designation of Cagayan de Oro members by other assemblies.
